Once famous, is the old posters of movie stars that I have painted, and then photographed them back to their original material, namely the photo. The identity disappears, and only fragments of the characteristic facial features remain known. In this work, it is again the transformation of real life that interests me: how we build our lives with idols, live famous people’s lives and dreams, instead of living our own. With my assault on portraits I do them inhumane in away, but personalize these images which we collectively share.
